Welcome to the PCSW blog!

This is the blog for the Putnam County Spinners and Weaver's Guild.  Members hail from Putnam and surrounding counties and do all manner of fiber arts, not just spinning and weaving.  We have fun at our meetings usually with show and tell, sometimes snacks are brought.  Once in awhile, we hold a class on something the members are interested in, such as hand painted yarn dyeing or roving rug braiding.  New people are always welcome to drop in and visit our meetings.

Members are allowed to advertise for sale or wanted items on the blog.

There will be postings of upcoming events.

I will try to post the monthly meeting highlights.

Sept meeting highlights
Theresa G. updated everyone on her winnings at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival.  She had the Champion Shetland fleece with a black lamb fleece, Supreme Champion Shetland in the Shetland show with UnderTheSon Coburg, and Handmade Best in Show with her Shetland Hap Shawl.  It was a wonderful show!

Sara W. showed off a cute pair of purple mitts with handspun grey Shetland/angora cuffs, which she finished at the meeting.

Washing and carding methods were discussed.

Possible items to sell at the November Craft Fair held at the Putnam County Fairgrounds were also discussed.

WANTED:  Sara W.  is looking for a pair of used wool hand carders in good condition.  Please call her at 765-653-9471.
